Kristina serves as the Director for Transportation for Massachusetts, continuing her lifelong career working to reduce greenhouse gases from transportation and offering more choices to low and moderate income families that need to get around. Before coming on board with the coalition, she served for four years as the Director of the South Coast Rail project, a $1.9 billion passenger rail extension at MassDOT. As part of this project, she led the development of the award-winning South Coast Rail Economic Development and Land Use Corridor Plan, which is a smart growth blueprint currently being implemented by 31 cities and towns through zoning and planning changes. Immediately prior to being appointed to the Patrick Administration, Egan served as the Director of the Massachusetts Smart Growth Alliance. Ms. Egan holds a M.A. in International Economics and International Relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and a B.A from Wesleyan University.
Lizzi Weyant is the Advocacy Director of Transportation for Massachusetts. Before to coming to the coalition, Lizzi worked as the Staff Attorney at the Massachusetts Public Interest Research Group (MASSPIRG), protecting consumers through legal, grassroots and grasstops advocacy, focusing her efforts on transportation and consumer affairs. Prior to her time at MASSPIRG, Lizzi worked as an attorney in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, specializing in victim advocacy and domestic violence litigation. She clerked for the Honorable Justice Susan Calkins of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. Lizzi earned her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from Carnegie Mellon University. She lives in Medford, MA with her husband and their daughter.
Josh is a Natick Selectman, a past president of the Massachusetts Municipal Association, and a strong proponent of transportation and public engagement. Josh also serves as the Massachusetts Outreach Director for Transportation for America, a national alliance to support state and federal funding of transportation investment to secure economic prosperity, and for LOCUS, a national initiative to engage developers in smart growth policy.
